Budapest, the Pearl of the Danube

Cross the border into Hungary for a full day in Budapest, one of the most elegant capitals in Europe. Split by the Danube into hilly Buda and lively Pest, the city is famous for its grand boulevards, thermal baths and stunning riverfront, all listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

With your guide you discover the highlights of both sides of the river. On the Buda side you climb Castle Hill to the Fishermans Bastion and Matthias Church, with sweeping views over the Danube. On the Pest side you admire the magnificent Parliament building, Heroes Square and the elegant Andrassy Avenue.

After the guided sightseeing you have free time to explore the cafes, markets and riverside promenades at your own pace, before returning to Vienna in the evening.
