Live concert in the original 1837 Strauss hall, with museum and sparkling wine

Performers: House of Strauss Orchestra Vienna

House of Strauss, Döblinger Hauptstraße 76, 1190 ViennaFrom €69.00Seats by categoryWheelchair accessible

Welcome to the House of Strauss in Vienna’s Döbling district: the historic Casino Zögernitz, opened in 1837, is home to the last original concert hall in which all four members of the Strauss dynasty performed. Carefully restored to its former elegance, it is more than a concert venue – it is a journey into the golden age of Viennese music.

The New York Times included the House of Strauss in its “36 Hours in Vienna” guide, and the Kronen Zeitung described an evening here as “almost a daily little New Year’s Concert”.

Your evening

Your evening begins with a sparkling wine reception and a visit to the House of Strauss Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the world of the Strauss family before the music begins. Then the stage comes alive: the House of Strauss Orchestra Vienna, under the musical direction of Bernhard Pfaffelmaier, and a soprano perform masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and Strauss – without electronic amplification. A cinematic narration traces the rise of the Strauss dynasty, accompanied by a light show that brings out the atmosphere of the historic hall.

The narration is in English with German and Chinese subtitles. Programme and performers are subject to change.
